It has taken already many hours of work, and based on a few time measurements I've realized it will take at least another 10-15 hours of just assembling the tiny pieces. Which is what I get for deciding to make a patchwork quilt of 3x3" squares (final size=2x2").

I just can't get over how photogenic the project is, all the scrappy bits of fabric piled on top of one another. Even the laying out of the quilt (because I learned I am too much of a control freak to have the possibility of the same fabrics side by side) was amazing. I did a time lapse of that 5+ hour project that I will have to post soon...quite likely with a Yakety Sax soundtrack.

So maybe I spent this Sunday looking like a redneck grandma with my sweet Sherwin Williams camouflage baseball cap, but I am excited to be done in another 30 or 40 hours with what I hope will be an awesome quilt!
(Thanks KW for the quilter photo)
