HOLDING FLOWERS LIKE BEER

I shot a wedding at the Quincy Yacht Club in Quincy, MA last weekend. The weather was perfect, just an edge of chill, and the ceremony was outside at sunset. We faced east (which was probably best for my flash batteries) and I loved the soft colors in the sky for the background.

Here is one of my current favorites, with the look on the groom's face and the way the guys are all holding the flowers like a bottle of beer. The father of the groom described this one as a "mantel must-have." Cheers!

This is my first large scale project working with Lightroom, and my conclusion is: It is amazing! Imagine editing images with the history stored and never having to hit save until you're done with 5 images, 50 images, or 500 images. It saved me so much time, and you can just pop an image into Photoshop when its necessary (and honestly, with the tools available in LR, you'll barely even go there), then save it and pop right back into LR. Then you can export them as a big batch of .jpgs or .psds, or a slideshow, or a web gallery. Or print them, I suppose, but I generally leave that for the professionals. I watched Matt Klokowski's educational videos which were an excellent introduction to the program. My image processing life just got so much easier.
